A honeymoon paradise, the Seychelles offers so much more - particularly if you are discovering its 115 islands on a private superyacht charter. From diving secluded lagoons and ziplining through forests to swimming with sealife and luxuriating on endless perfect beaches, these islands have something to tempt every charterer.
This is an example of an eight day luxury yacht charter itinerary in the Seychelles. Itineraries are created individually for every client based around personal preferences and how you want to spend your time onboard your charter.
Join your charter yacht in the marina for welcome tropical cocktails. Enjoy lunch onboard while cruising round to Baie Beau Vallon, and spend the afternoon relaxing in the sun or on the superyacht’s water toys. Grab a snorkel and explore the world under these clear blue waters for the first time. Head to Beau Vallon beach - the longest on Mahé - and laze under the Takamaka trees. Watch the sunset from the sundeck, followed by a sumptuous dinner of fresh seafood sourced from local fishermen by the chef that afternoon.
Port Launay, Mahé
Sharks & Ziplines
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as your luxury yacht cruises round to Port Launay National Park. Dive the protected lagoons and healthy, colourful coral reefs, where you may encounter a whale shark. Go paddleboarding or kayaking, or take a zipline ride through the forest. Visit the Gallery of Michael Adams, the Seychelles' best-known artist. Indulge in a pampering session in one of the nearby spas. BBQ dinner on the beach, backdropped by another stunning sunset.
Divers & Daredevils
Start the day with a morning swim before sailing to lush Silhouette Island. The interior of Silhouette is a national park, with some of the richest biodiversity in the entire Indian Ocean. Hike in the forested Mount Daubon, and spot some of the hundreds of endemic birds, reptiles, and plants. Dive in clear, calm waters to encounter incredible marine life. Paddleboard to flawless white beaches, or join a fishing party organised by the crew. Finish the third day of your holiday winding down on deck under the stars.
Sail to the luxury private resort of North Island over breakfast and anchor for the day. Relax in the health spa, work out in the gym or laze on the beach, sipping cocktails from the bar. Active guests can grab a mountain bike or set out for a hike to explore this tiny island. There is also the chance to fish from the shore or spend the day on the yacht’s water toys. Relax on an empty beach while the crew prepare your private Creole BBQ under the stars.
Meet the Locals
During the four hour cruise to Fregate Island, try your hand at landing a tuna or sailfish. On the island, a haven for endangered species, discover bird and bat colonies, as well as Hawksbill and Green Turtles who nest on the beaches. Look out for turtles hatching and encounter the 400 relocated Aldabra giant tortoises that roam free here. Walk through the conservation areas, go diving or deep sea fishing, or kick back with a pampering day in the rock spa.
Slow Down the Pace
Wake up en route to the Island of La Digue. The pace of life on La Digue is very relaxed. Cycle round the island to find your favourite beach or take the tender to discover more stunning bays only accessible by water. Buy locally produced coconut oil and vanilla. Finish the day with sunset drinks and another sumptuous dinner.
Coco De Mer
Depart La Digue and anchor off Praslin, a true beach lover’s paradise, with powdery sands, pink boulders and magnificent bays and coves. The UNESCO-protected Vallee de Mai, a primeval palm forest, is of international importance. Take the tender ashore to wander the forest’s depths and pick up a perfect Seychelles souvenir only found on Praslin, the distinctive ‘Coco de Mer’. Visit idyllic Round Island just off the south coast. Cocktails at Raffles Hotel followed by dinner at one of the many restaurants.
Depart Praslin for the two hour cruise back to Eden Island, Mahé for onward travel, reliving fantastic memories on the way.
