Meet SPIRIT OF ROMO, the explorer yacht previously for sale
Built in steel by Danish yard Svendborg to an in-house design, SPIRIT OF ROMO was delivered in 1973 and spent the first part of her life cruising the Danish coastline and Arctic Sea. In 2018 she was rebuilt by the Dutch yard Talsma to become a rugged yet luxurious explorer yacht, purposefully designed for true adventure-seekers.
The explorer yacht boasts a well-configured layout that is both welcoming for guests and operationally well-planned for the crew.
Functional, yet elegantly designed, the four-cabin accommodation layout includes an owner’s suite, two doubles, and a twin room with bunk beds, all with modern en-suite facilities.
Her communal spaces include a light, formal dining space and kitchen bar area for serving drinks and enjoying time with friends. A comfortable lounge area in the main saloon also provides ample seating for guests with prime access to the aft deck.
Outside, guests can enjoy dining alfresco on the aft deck and reclining on the upper deck lounge areas. Other key features on board this explorer yacht include a fully equipped galley with direct access to the main deck saloon, while her two tenders can be stored and deployed from her foredeck.
While she may be smaller than traditional explorer vessels, she offers all the facilities you would typically find on a 60-metre + yacht. The DNA of SPIRIT OF ROMO ensures naval and commercial build standards, while her recent technical upgrades satisfy both guest and crew needs, including a new engine, stabilisers, and the latest navigation equipment.
SPIRIT OF ROMO’s performance is an impressive 2,800 nautical mile range at 10.5 knots, thanks to her single CUMMINS 750HP engine. She is also capable of autonomous cruising for up to 10 days.
