G2 nominated for refit title at World Superyacht Awards
Showstopping sailing yacht G2, for charter with YPI, has been nominated at the 2019 World SuperYacht Awards.
G2 is nominated in the Rebuilt/Refit/Conversion Yachts category at the Awards, which will take place in London from 16 - 18 May.
With the original build by Vitters and the refit by Pendennis, G2 boasts pedigree sailing yacht construction. For the refit, Naval Architect and Exterior Styling are by Tripp Design and Interior Design is by Nauta.
G2 is featured on the cover of Boat International's June digital edition, along with an in-depth feature into the highly detailed work that went in to her refit. The article highlights the scope of the work undertaken, essentially a rebuild of the original yacht CINDERELLA IV.
"Sometimes the word 'refit' doesn't go far enough," says the article. "The owners of G2 certainly stretched the definition after spending a year transforming a dark and traditional carbon sloop into the light and airy G2. [...] She is reborn - and a shining example of what can be achieved by overlaying solid foundations with some fresh thinking."
