Part of the joy of chartering is being able to decide exactly where you want to go, when you want to go and what type of yacht you think will be the most fun for you, your family and friends. So far be it from us to tell you where to go this Summer, but if you are lacking a little inspiration, maybe this selection of five of this year’s most sought after locations by the team at YPI Charter will help. Looking forward to welcoming you on board this season.

With the recent changes in tax Spanish law, this Summer marks the real opening for luxury yacht charter to one of Europe’s most enjoyable coastlines, the Balearics. Renowned for their beauty, warm climate and relaxing pace, the islands offer something for all ages and interests. Whether it is the crystal clear waters and secluded bays, enjoying Mallorca’s impressive Torrente de Pareis (“The Twin Streams”) and marine reserves, shopping in the stylish boutiques near the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx, relaxing in the natural mud baths on Isla Espalmador or dancing the night away in one of many exclusive nightclubs on Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca, the Balearics have everything for a holiday to refresh everyone.

Sardinia offers stunning secluded beaches, an incredible landscape and, as with mainland Italy, the island has a wealth of culture, history and fabulous food, all unique to the Island – even the language differs a little. Costa Smeralda in the North East of the island is home to some of the most elite hotels and villas in the world, full of glitz and glamour and elegant boutiques. La Maddalena archipelago is a must – sail over to discover the memorable scenery of granite islands weathered by the sea and wind creating its famous beaches and coastline.

For many of our clients, Turkey simply has it all. It is the land where east meets west in fantastic fusion. Explore the exotic bazaars, fascinating ruins and mystical temples where ancient and modern culture combines in a flurry of lively local music and traditional belly dancers. For nature lovers, the Turkish coast offers unspoilt cruising with a mixture of wooded and rocky coastline, great snorkelling in crystal blue waters the colours of which are not to be found anywhere else in the Med. And you can also take in the spectacular scenery during a 30-minute paraglide down Baba Dag (Father Mountain) in Ölü Deniz. And let’s not forget, the ultimate relaxation in the Turkish Hammam, therapeutic mud baths followed by the freshest of local cuisine.
