Following the recent sales of BUILD 395 ROYAL HUISMAN, MARI CHA IV and ONYX, YPI is pleased to announce four more successful sales for its clients: CYCLOS III, YII, MED SPIRIT and ANTINEA.

“A benchmark of high performance sailing”

Following the retirement of her former owner after 35 years of rewarding sailing, YPI is pleased to announce the successful sale by Blind Bid Auction of the ground-breaking 42 metre Royal Huisman ketch, CYCLOS III.

“Sailing yachts may only make up around 10% of the world’s fleet of yachts for sale, but there is a passion with sailing yachts that’s hard to find elsewhere in yachting,” explains Head of YPI Sailing and one-time captain of CYCLOS III, William Bishop. “And it’s a passion that was perfectly exemplified by the very high level of interest this Auction generated.”

Built in 1990 by the world’s pre-eminent shipyard, Royal Huisman withnaval architecture by the great Ron Holland and innovative interiors by Andrew Winch, CYCLOS III was the ground-breaking yacht of her generation and she remains outstanding even today.

“We very much look forward to seeing this timeless yacht back on the water,” says Will. “I am convinced she will bring as much pleasure and enjoyment to her new owner as she has done for her previous owner.”

Launched last summer by Dunya Yachts, she is the largest motor yacht ever to be built in Turkey and the first from Dunya. The star of last year’s Monaco Yacht Show where she made more headline news by being sold on the very last day by YPI. Now AXIOMA (ex: Red Square) picks up a well deserved Judges’ Commendation at this year’s 9thWorld Superyacht Awards in the stunning Het Scheepvaartmuseum, National Maritime Museum, Amsterdam, Holland.

“High quality design and build”                 View AXIOMA pictures and specifications

Now in its 9th year, the World Superyacht Awards present arguably the most coveted trophies in the superyacht industry today.

An acclaimed panel of Judges made up of yacht owners, industry specialists and renowned journalists spend months visiting some of the world’s most stunning new superyacht builds delivered to owners during the previous twelve months. The goal is to finally decide upon those yachts they believe deserve a little extra honour for their design, build, innovation, performance and all round perfection.

“We have been blessed over the years with the yachts we have chosen to represent at YPI,” says YPI Head of Sales, Russell Crump. “Last year we won with the sublime Holland Jachtbouw J-Class replica, RAINBOW. Now this year, a yacht we are very proud to be involved with, has once again been recognised as one of the finest and innovative in superyachting today.” Built on spec and, to date, the largest motor yacht to have been constructed in Turkey, AXIOMA is the result of the combined skill, expertise and talent of Diana Scott for the lines, the late
Alberto Pinto for the interior, and Dunya Yachts, headed                         WSA pictures courtesy of Mark Sims, Superyacht Media.
by CEO Sedat Ergun, for construction.

“My father always used to say ‘try to surprise people rather than disappoint’ and with (AXIOMA ex Red Square) I’m pleased to say this is exactly what we did,” says Sedat Ergun. “We worked with some of the most experienced brains and craftsmen in the business to create a world-class vessel that will continue to be a showcase of what the Dunya Yachts brand can achieve. We use the best skill and know-how to be found anywhere in the world and we are proud to have her representing us on the world’s oceans.”

At 72.5m, AXIOMA is “a lot of yacht” with a number of exceptional features and a widely acclaimed sense of flow in terms of both space and function, perfectly exemplified by the vast open mezzanine/gallery area combining two decks on the aft end of the main saloon. The yacht also offers a large swimming pool, 7-seater cinema, spa, a gym especially placed on the bridge deck for energising views and guest cabins all situated on the main deck for maximum use of natural light and stunning views.

“Sometimes in yachting you can find the most stunning lines only to be let down by finish or ill-considered interior layout,” says Russell Crump.AXIOMA is the embodiment of clever and artistic design with practical, yet innovative layout and exemplary build and finish. She is a yacht created and represented by a team we are very proud to be a part of.”

AXIOMA is now available for charter with YPI Charter.
