Cannes and Monaco Yacht Show News

With the Cannes Boat Show wrapping up for another year, all attention now focuses on arguably the most important and influential event on the yachting calendar…the Monaco Yacht Show.

Cannes Boat Show 2010Cannes was a good warm up to the season,” says YPI Group CEO Bertrand Vogèle. “Clearly it is still too close to the Show to gauge how successful it has been for our clients – and we have many visits and enquiries now to follow up on - but we showed two great yachts in Port Canto this year: JASMIN, a stunning RMK Marine explorer yacht which I am pleased to say we are also showing in Monaco, and SQUALO, a beautiful Azimut 116, now being offered at a very tempting asking price.”

YPI has worked with the Monaco Yacht Show since the very first edition back in 1991. Today the Show welcomes over 25,000 people from over 36 different nations and this year, the Show’s 20th edition, YPI is very proud to be presenting some of the industry’s most eagerly awaited yachts.

“We have six of the most stunning yachts in and around Monaco this year,” says Bertrand Vogèle, “many of which have already attracted significant attention...and that’s good news for our clients and our industry.”

In fact it is shaping up to be a busy Show for the YPI Group as it hosts the 2nd edition of the ‘invitation-only’ Super Yacht Owners Summit, a special presentation of its newly launched management software tool YPI Teomaki, as well as presenting two much talked about new-builds to the world for the very first time – LIONHEART, the world’s largest and newest J-Class, and MARY JEAN II, the latest spectacular offering from ISA in Ancona.

“Not all yacht shows are the same,” comments YPI Senior Yachting Consultant, Eric Althaus. “But the Monaco Show is one where our clients properly get to see some of the very best products and services available on the market today all in one place - whether they are buying, selling or building.”

In addition to planned visits and viewings, YPI offers VIP tenders and limousines for clients, helping ensure their time at the Show goes as comfortably and as smoothly as possible.

“There’s a lot to see,” says Eric Althaus. “We work hard to make sure our clients get to visit all the yachts they want to see without it being too tiring. After all, yachting is supposed to be fun…and that includes yacht shopping.” Unlike most yacht shows, clients and visitors can find out more about all aspects of yachting as the teams from all YPI specialist divisions – Brokerage, Management, Crew and Charter – are present throughout the Show (22 – 25 Sept).
