Roberto Dellepiane, Fleet Manager / ISM & ISPS Manager

Born in Italy, Roberto joined the merchant navy in 1978 and remained there for 17 years, climbing from cadet to deputy captain on cargo ships and cruise liners.

Passionate about safety and security, he was nominated as Fleet Safety Officer of P&O and Princess Cruises for three consecutive years. In 1996, Roberto came ashore to work in marine senior management roles, including Director of Safety, Security and Quality. Roberto joined YPI as Fleet Manager/ISM and ISPS Manager thereafter.

Norwegian Fjords

In the summer, the Norwegian fjords are my favourite destination, with beautiful scenery combining sea and green mountains. With a cooler climate than the Mediterranean, it’s the perfect peaceful escape from the crowds. I recommend the Baltic Sea in general for its natural beauty and the lively culture of its historical towns, from Stockholm and Tallinn to St. Petersburg.
