VALLEY OF THE KINGS

Wake up in Safaga after an overnight cruise. History buffs can make an early start with a private car and guide to head through the desert to Luxor and to the Valley of the Kings. See the tombs of several Ramses kings, Tutankhamun, Seti and Septah. Divers have their own treat in store with your own personal guide to explore another wonder world – underwater. See the vibrant colours of inquisitive triggerfish, Emperor fish, wrasse, parrotfish and clownfish, with reef dives, wall dives as well as stunning coral gardens. If relaxation is more for you, head to the Kempinski hotel in Soma Bay and spend some time ironing out the kinks from your trip in the Cascades Spa. Congregate here for dinner or opt for a quiet dinner on board.

DIVE DELIGHT

The yacht will cruise back up towards Hurghada as you enjoy breakfast, arriving at the uninhabited island of Giftun El Saghir in good time to explore the coral reef and gardens before lunch. Non-divers can also experience the teeming marine life snorkelling in the shallower waters. Stunning empty beaches call out to set up your beach encampment and stretch out with a good book or indulge in some beachcombing; even if you can’t keep it, finding ‘treasure’ is always fun. The crew will come ashore to your chosen spot and set up a picnic lunch, after which simply press reset and do it all again. After sundowners on board with your favourite cocktails, head back to Hurghada for dinner in town.

Golfers can get their fix and take on the challenging course at the Steinberger Golf Resort or you can pamper yourself at one of the many Spas. Take a local guide and head into the desert for some hiking.
